Search for saved Charts with specific astrological criteria | Read More ... |
Accessed by Top Menu - Search This allows the user to search through their list of stored charts for charts with specific criteria and a combination of these criteria. There are two main sections to the page. Firstly an individual chart search where the user can specify criteria of Planets in Signs, Planets in Houses and Planetary Aspects. Secondly a search between different charts for specific chart patterns. The user can only do an individual chart search or a synastry chart search but not both at the same time. The individual chart search comprises the following three sections. The first section Planets in Signs allows the user to add a search for charts with a planet is a specific zodiac sign. When the user clicks on the Add Criteria button two drop down boxes are displayed. The left one allows the user to select the specific planet they wish to search for and the right hand box the sign in which that planet needs to appear to be returned by the search. The user can add up to three criteria for Planets in Signs. For example Sun in Aries and Moon in Taurus and Venus in Virgo. Please note that when more than one criteria is specified all these criteria have to be fulfilled for a chart to be returned. It is not the case that if just one of the criteria is fulfilled that the chart will be returned. Further to this any criteria specified in the other sections such as Planets in Houses or Planetary Aspects also need to be fulfilled for a chart to be returned in a search. The second section Planets in Houses allows the user to add a search for charts with a planet in a particular house. When the user clicks on the Add Criteria button two drop down boxes are displayed. The left one allows the user to select the specific planet they wish to search for and the right hand box the house in which that planet needs to appear to be returned by the search. The user can add up to three criteria for Planets in Houses. As in the Planets in Signs case if multiple criteria are added they all have to be fulfilled for the chart to be returned in a search. Also any criteria specified in the Planets in Signs and Planetary Aspects need to be fulfilled. The third section Planetary Aspects allows the user to add a search for charts with a certain aspect between planets. When the user clicks on the Add Criteria button three drop down boxes are displayed. The left and right boxes allow the user to select the specific planets they wish to see aspected and the centre box the type of aspect between the planets they are searching for. The user can add up to three criteria for Planetary Aspects. As in the case of the other two sections if multiple planetary aspects are specified all of these will have to be fulfilled for a chart to be returned. In addition to this the chart will also have to fulfil any criteria specified in the Planets in Signs and Planets in Houses sections. The Synastry search is an independent search from the individual chart search mentioned above in that it searches for patterns between charts and not within an individual chart. Clicking on the Add Criteria button within this section reveals three drop down boxes. In the left and right hand boxes the user can specify two planets which need to aspect each other. One of these planets will be from one chart and one from another. In the central box they can specify which type of synastry aspect these two planets will make to each other. For example they could specify Mars trine Venus. This would mean that one of the users stored charts Mars is trine another of the users stored charts Venus. The user can add up to three criteria for Synastry Planetary Aspects. If multiple criteria are added in the search all will have to be fulfilled for a set of charts to be returned in the search results. Once the search criteria are added , either in the individual chart search or in the synastry chart search (but not both) the user can press the Search Charts button to perform the search against the users stored charts. Alternatively they can press Quit to abandon the Search and return to their home screen. If charts are found that match the search criteria they are displayed in the following screen. If the charts occupy more than one screen the user can use the next and previous buttons to traverse the returned charts. The user may then do another search with the Search Again button which will return them to the search screen. However I the search returned results they may wish to open a chart from the search results. See below. If the user did an individual chart search which returned results they then have the option to open an individual chart by clicking on the open chart button in the list of matching charts. This will add the chart to the list of opened charts and return them to their home screen. In the case of the user having done a synastry search which produced results the user will then have the option to open a set of two matching charts by clicking on the open charts button next to the matching pair. They will then be returned to their home screen with the two charts opened. | |
